For this project, both the Master Ensuite and Main Bathroom were intentionally designed to feel visually connected through consistent material selections and detailing, while subtle differences in layout, bathtub design and shower composition give each space its own personality and purpose.

Master Ensuite Design
A Luxurious Private Retreat with Soft Architectural Detailing
Large-format warm grey porcelain tiles wrap continuously across both walls and floors, creating a seamless visual flow and enhancing the room’s spaciousness. The restrained neutral palette allows the architectural detailing and material textures to become the focus rather than relying on excessive decoration.
A custom floating timber vanity introduces warmth and organic texture into the space, balancing the cooler stone surfaces and helping create the soft contemporary aesthetic now commonly seen in high-end Sydney renovations.
The curved edges of the joinery soften the geometry of the room, while the matte white benchtop and vessel basins maintain a clean, minimalist appearance.

One of the defining features of the Master Ensuite is the open and seamless spatial composition.
The frameless walk-in shower was intentionally designed with minimal visual interruption, allowing natural light to flow freely throughout the room while maintaining clean sightlines from the vanity to the bath area.
The freestanding bathtub acts as a sculptural centrepiece within the ensuite. Finished in a soft matte grey exterior, the bath was selected to complement the calm tonal palette of the space while maintaining the understated and relaxed atmosphere of the Master Ensuite.
In contrast, the Main Bathroom introduces a more dramatic black freestanding bathtub, creating stronger visual definition and a slightly bolder contemporary statement. This subtle variation helps distinguish the character of each bathroom while still maintaining overall material consistency throughout the renovation.

Family Functionality with the Same Warm Contemporary Aesthetic
While the Main Bathroom shares the same overall design language as the Master Ensuite, its layout and detailing were adapted to better suit practical family living.
The same oversized porcelain tiles, floating timber vanity, vessel basins and brushed gunmetal fixtures were repeated throughout the space to maintain visual continuity across the renovation.
This consistency was particularly important in creating a cohesive overall feeling throughout the home rather than having each bathroom feel disconnected stylistically.
However, the Main Bathroom introduces a slightly more structured and functional spatial arrangement.
Defined Shower Zoning for Everyday Practicality
Compared with the more open composition of the Master Ensuite, the Main Bathroom uses a more clearly defined shower enclosure to improve practicality and wet-zone separation for daily use.
The glass shower screen configuration creates a stronger spatial distinction between the bath and shower areas while still preserving the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the room.
This subtle change in layout helps the bathroom function more efficiently for family routines while maintaining the same architectural design language established in the ensuite.
